Major league gaming and national tournaments are becoming the thang in video game culture. It's like how wearing clothes backwards was the thang when Kris Kross were rapping (yes, we are seasoned fad vets). People like Fatal1ty are reaping the benefits of this and are hitting super stardom, and now it's your chance to shine.

SCEA, Insomniac, and the Global Gaming League are holding a national Resistance: Fall of Man tournament starting on July 7th (yes, that's next month). Registering to be part of this blitz of gunfire and glory starts today until the 4th of July. All you have to do is head to the official Resistance tourney page, plop your virtual John Hancock down, and get ready for mayhem. The only choice left is to figure out whether you want to participate in either the single player or team tournament...

Now if you do survive the flood of blood hungry competitors who scream things like "I'm 1337" or "You use HaX!", then you move on to the big top. The best eight players and six teams get to compete in the semi-finals at the Gamestop on 33rd and Broadway in NYC on August 11th (If you see any Halo statues, think Hybrid Invasion and go wild), with the final showdown happening the next day where the best two of each category fight to the death at GamePlay HD's studio.

So if you think you have a big enough Auger to fit the bill, register and show Uncle Sam what you're made of.
