Insomniac's Community Smorgasbord
An all new podcast with details on Ratchet Future, new screens, that gorgeous new trailer... It's a Ratchet overload!

It's no secret that we're something of fans of Insomniac Games (hell, Kyle's AIM handle has Insomniac in the title and was before he ever came to work for us, that's how down we are), but after seeing how much they've embraced this whole community thang in recent months, it's hard not to be. Oh, and then there's those games they've been making for the past couple years, y'know, stuff like the Ratchet & Clank series and a little launch title called Resistance: Fall of Man that was responsible for so many late reviews after it came out.
Right, but back to that whole community thing. See, a while back, they launched their own site to pull in fans of Insomniac games (yes, like us, we're members), but since then they've gone a little further and added in a podcast -- the Full Moon Show (clever, innit? No? Well FINE!) -- which features a special guest so secret they're beamed in using technology from the future so as not to expose leaks for those that would otherwise know. That's totally a lie, of course; lots of people know about it, Insomniac just has tight lips. Oh, wait, that came out wrong, we meant...
Oh, hey, so about that podcast 'n stuff! This time around, they've managed to rope in Brian Hastings, author of the infamous "10 Reasons Why PS3 Will Win This Console Generation" list, who explains his points a little more and responds to some of the responses from the thing (note: we didn't even post the except because we're both lazy and already feel that the PS3 will win because we are blind fanboys so we need no reasons). They also spoke with, one of the partners at High Impact Games, who made that Ratchet: Size Matters game that we couldn't stop playing. Stupid time-sucking vortex of fun, that was.
Oh, and then there's that Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction game that people are all excited about. If you aren't you clearly haven't seen the new screens or the video, both of which we have showing on the game page (you can find it by clicking on the game name just a couple lines up or just check out the screens to your left). Oho, but while we have most of the new media for the game, you might want to take a peek at that thar community section of Insomniac's site. They have an exclusive screen, and it might just be the best of the bunch.
