Tecmo yesterday proudly announced that the formerly Xbox 360 exclusive Ninja Gaiden 2 is coming to the PlayStation 3 with the addition of 'Sigma' in its title. But that's not all that is going to be added to the overall already impressive package of NG2, no, Team NINJA also promised new content similar to what we have seen with Ninja Gaiden Sigma. According to the Japanese gaming mag Famitsu, NGS2 will allow players to take control over the hot Dead Or Alive female fighter Ayane. Playing her is supposed to change the gameplay drastically. Let's see how true that really is.

Furthermore new bosses, and enemies have been announced, which can be fought with some new weapons as well. While there is no official word on all the details yet, Tecmo invited us to their product announcement event next Tuesday at the PlayStation Store in San Francisco (it's invite only, so don't even think about trying to sneak in there...). We'll definitely check it out and hopefully can acquire some exclusive bits of information during the Q/A with the director and producer of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. So, expect more coverage on the game and the announcement event to hit the site soon.

Tecmo didn't reveal any information on a release date but expect that information to arrive sometime next week. (Probably around Tuesday)
