Sega announced Friday that it is porting grindhouse tribute and shooter sequel The House of the Dead: Overkill exclusively to PlayStation 3, with Move and 3D support, and of course, high-definition graphics. The game is set for release on October 25, 2011 in the United States and on October 28, 2011 in Europe. Finally, you'll have something new to play with your underworked motion controllers.

The original game was released at the beginning of 2009 for Nintendo Wii as a spin-off of Sega's classic arcade series. It received good reviews, being praised for its arcade gameplay and especially for its humor. It set a Guinness World Record for having the most expletives in a video game, but that record was beaten the next year by Mafia II. Maybe this version will give developer Headstrong Games the opportunity to throw in a few more F-bombs and reclaim the profanity crown.

The PlayStation 3 version, dubbed the "Extended Cut", will bring the content of the Wii version plus extra bonus content. This includes re-mastered versions of all seven original stages and two brand new scenarios exclusive to the PS3 version.
