Hmm... a strategy RPG named Rainbow Moon. Skeptical already aren't you? I was when I saw the name and started reading up on the press release. The developer, SideQuest Studios, is also responsible for the game Söldner-X: Himmelsstürmer. Never heard of it? Neither had I! Developed back in 2007, Soldner was originally a side scrolling shoot'em up game. The sequel was released on PS3 at the beginning of 2010. Soldner-X 2: Final Prototype received high scores all around. SideQuest Studios is now officially licensed by Sony and appear to be sure of themselves.

Still not convinced on the whole Rainbow Moon thing though, are you? Well - let's talk details. Right off the bat our new friends at SideQuest are billing the game as "a strategic RPG with a strong emphasis on character development." This sounds like a good thing to me. Marcus Pukropski, the CEO of SideQuest, goes on to say, "Following our recent success, we are very excited to introduce a brand new IP." Big words regarding a game that there seems to be limited info on (and was merely downloadable).

Trying to stay positive though, let's go on to their bulleted list of features:

• Complex story mode with about 25 hours of gameplay, extended to more than 100 hours when including all side quests, missions and full character development.
• Isometric open world to explore with more than 15 different terrains, such as mountains, snow, desert, grassland, savanna, mud and others.
• Sophisticated grid turn-based combat system, featuring a large range of combat and skill commands as well as special attacks and effects.
• Unique action and puzzle elements in a variety of over 20 challenging dungeons and 50 quests.
• Six playable main characters with upgradable weapons, armors and accessories, allowing hundreds of gear combinations.
• Detailed online stats tracking each gamer's progress.
• Technically perfected game engine, constantly running smoothly at 60 fps with close to no loading times.
• Thirty dedicated background music tracks.

Their website offers incredibly limited information at this time. But the graphics don't appear to be anything special. One can only hope that they somehow manage to pull it off. The game is slated to be finished in the fourth quarter of this year. Keep your eyes to TotalPlayStation for further details!
