Activision announced today that the second batch of Transformers: War for Cybertron DLC is primed (sorry) for download from the PlayStation Network. With two new playable characters, three competitive multiplayer maps, and two arenas built exclusively for Escalation mode, this new DLC is sure to transform (so, so sorry) the way you play.

Joining the already impressive roster are Zeta Prime, a noble Autobot, and Dead End, a cranky-faced Decepticon.

Escalation welcomes two new maps into its repertoire – one for each faction. Pulse, the Autobot map, introduces players to the innards of Decepticon giant Trypticon. Experience a behind-the-scenes look at robotic bowel movements as you attempt to discover and overload his central power core. Static, the Decepticon map, is a multi-leveled arena complete with environmental hazards. Watch your step; there might be…bear traps?

If competitive multiplayer is more your style, you've got three new maps to explore. Horizon overlooks the destroyed Autobot home city of Iacon and features a nice mix of both open and close quarters encounters. Sector, a maintenance facility, is a sniper's paradise and suits vehicles well – especially jets. Lastly, Metropolis takes place in a high-rise building located in war-torn Iacon.

The Transformers: War for Cybertron Map and Characters Pack 2 is available for download for $9.99.
