What’s better than reading? Squinting!

Your eyes will hate you as the first 12 pages of the new Fallout graphic novel are released on the App Store.

Here’s a treat for those who can’t get enough of the grim and desolate world of Fallout: people who have shelled out the caps for an iPod will soon be able to read the first 12 pages of the New Vegas comic, fresh from the App Store. The graphic novel (All Roads) is written by Chris Avellone, the game’s senior designer, and ties in closely to the new game’s story. It also promises to hint towards missions if you’re a clever enough wastelander to work out the clues.

The App, found here (iTunes link) will offer an introduction to the game’s new setting and will doubtless look incredible on your iPhone/Pip-Boy mash-up.

There is, as always, a catch. The full graphic novel will only be available to those that splash out on the collectors’ edition of Fallout: New Vegas, released on October 19th in North America and on October 22nd in Europe and Australia.

My bank account feels lighter already.
