Video Game Vets Launch Ambition Production and Management
An ambitious project indeed.

I had no idea there were "agents" for game developers until just now. I hope we can see some sort of "Jerry Maguire"-esque movie in the forthcoming years about Lee Jacobsen trying to keep Cliffy B in check as he trolls meeasge boards so he can get a new contract with Epic or something. Uwe Boll attached to direct this Cameron Crowe penned film.
Ambition Production and Management, LLC. today announced the formation on their new Los Angeles, CA based production and management company, promising to set new standards for talent-representation and management in the video game industry by providing a host of key services to independent video game developers.
Ambition brings together three interactive entertainment veterans with combined experience of over 50 years in video game production, publishing, and representation. Founding partners include Dan Lee Rogers, formerly Interactive Studio Management (ISM) senior partner, Philippe Erwin, CEO of Collision Studios and formerly head of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment; and Lee Jacobson, formerly VP of Business Development, Licensing and Acquisitions at Midway Games.
“This is truly a unique opportunity,” says Lee Jacobson. “Coming from both the development and publishing worlds, I know how precious time is when sorting through development opportunities; why it is vitally important that developers package their projects in a way that allows publishers to get the approval required at any major video game publisher. It’s great too to be surrounded by gentlemen with complementary skills. Dan Rogers has already worked successfully representing game studios for over 10 years, concluding countless deals for interactive clients. Philippe Erwin’s experience as an attorney at Loeb and Loeb, LLC, and then as an executive at both Activision and Warner Bros. Interactive, helps us to achieve a level of competency that is essential in the interactive industry today.”
“What makes Ambition different are the services we provide independent developers,” Philippe Erwin added. “The experience of Ambition’s partners spans a number of key practices, from legal to production to publishing. We offer what no one else in the industry can: a comprehensive set of business tools and skilled partners capable of dealing with everything from getting a deal, game financing, licensing and distribution options and comprehensive legal support. Having us as their business managers 24/7 really allows studios to focus on what they do best: make great games.”
“Ambition is already negotiating with a number of Hollywood partners as well,” added Dan Rogers. “More will be forthcoming on this front, but suffice to say the time is ripe to provide Hollywood with a trusted partner to help them reach into the interactive world in a way that preserves the lion’s share of revenue for the creators of intellectual property rather than the publishing chain.”
