What more is there to say for PlayStation 3 RPG fans who have been jealous of the Xbox 360's offerings? But now PS3 owners will get the chance to play through the game that is said to be inspired by the life of legendary composer Frederic Chopin, because this fall Eternal Sonata hits the PlayStation 3 with a vengeance. Oh, and new characters, new music, and new quests will all be included in the package.

Originally released in 2007, the game has garnered praise across the industry for its graphical stylings and interesting take on role-playing mechanics. Players travel with 19th century composer Frederic Chopin as he explores a dream world during his last remaining hours alive. Heart-breaking as it might be, the world explodes with cel-shaded graphics and a light and dark mechanic that allows players to use different battle moves depending on their positioning and the light and shadow that play across the battlefield.

Eternal Sonata for the PS3 also hits home with two new characters, Serenade and Crescendo, and a host of new outfits to help customize the look of your characters. New dungeons have also been included, as well as different endings.

Regardless of your stance on Eternal Sonata, it's good to see the game hitting the PS3 this year. There needs to be more grandiose RPGs with that bit of cel-shaded flair on the system and Eternal Sonata brings that in spades. Look for this one in the fall.
