By the end of 2008, the Rock Band platform (Rock Band and Rock Band 2) will encompass more than 500 songs. If every album had a standard of 13 tracks, that means we're looking at 38 different albums. That's a lot of music.

Keeping that in mind, Harmonix and MTV Games, along with Electronic Arts, dropped us a line to let us know what tracks would be available in Rock Band 2 upon its release. With 80 songs on the disc and 20 more bonus tracks online, we don't think we'll be getting tired of Rock Band 2 for a long while. Below are some of the tracks you have to look forward to:

And with the Export Disc feature, which allows you to export and use your previous Rock Band on-disc tracks with Rock Band 2, along with the ability to use any and all downloadable content between the two packages, there's no excuse not to invite every friend you know over to your house and play through the setlist. It's just begging for it.
