2K And Bethesda Announce PS3 Game Bundles

When worlds collide... a day we never thought we'd see.

One thing we've wondered about as we transition to a new generation is whether or not we would see HD (Ultra HD?) remakes of the best PS3 games on the PS4. We've already seen that with both Tomb Raider and Injustice getting a "definitive edition" and we're sure there are more on the horizon.

But today Bethesda and 2K Games announced a different sort of deal that (as far as we can tell) breaks a few new boundaries. Both publishers are offering a a pair of their games bundled together on the PS3 at the great price of just $30. The twist is, they are combining forces to offer games from both publishers in one package.

That's right, on February 11th you'll be able to buy either the Skyrim/Bioshock: Infinite bundle or the Borderlands 2/Dishonored bundle and get a whole TON of great gaming for a great price. While none of those games includes their DLC, you'll still be able to grab all that at regular prices if you don't get enough from the games themselves.

Not only is this unique as we can't recall publishers teaming up in this fashion, but it's really amazing for gamers who maybe just got a PS3 this year. All four of those games are AAA experiences that everyone here at TPS raved about when they were released. All four games are also long and engaging experiences that combine to give hundreds of hours of gameplay for the price of a single new retail title.

We don't know if this is the start of a trend but we can only hope. If you haven't played either game in either of these bundles we can't recommend them to gamers highly enough!
