It's the announcement that is going to change the way you think about EVERYTHING. You might have that shiny new console in your house, but don't go putting away that venerable PS3 just yet. There's still quite a bit of content coming for the next year include some pretty big releases.

One of those releases is the long-awaited re-release of a beloved PS2 classic. That could mean almost anything these days, but in this case it's Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster coming to the PS3 early next March.

Those that have been following along might be a little surprised to see this announcement isn't for the Vita, since that's the platform we've been hearing the most about with the remaster, but that date is still up in the air and for now we can probably assume that it's going to be a later date.

For those that haven't been paying attention, this package includes both international versions of Final Fantasy X (that includes the Eternal Calm scenario) and Final Fantasy X-2 (including Last Mission) both fully remastered with updated graphics and a remastered soundtrack. Most gamers over the age of 25 or so should have pretty fond memories of these two epic games. Preorder now and receive an artbook with prints from both games.

This spring is setting up to be good for gamers no matter what they are looking for, and we sure hope this announcement means we will hear about the Vita version soon as well.
