Was there ever any doubt?

There is NOTHING we love more than reporting the results of simulated sports events. I love the start of seasons and playoffs because they always bring an updated round of predictions, so it isn't surprising at all that 2K simulated the upcoming NBA season with NBA 2K14 and shared the results with us.

Sorry NBA fans, Miami is collecting their third straight ring. I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that a game produced by and featuring LeBron James would have the heat winning it all (and LeBron winning MVP, naturally).

The real NBA season kicks off tonight with LeBron and company taking on the finally healthy Chicago Bulls alongside a couple other games before the whole league hits the hardwood on Wednesday.

Check out some of the other highlights from the 2K simulation center:

The Nets Starting 5
First year head coach Jason Kidd and the Brooklyn Nets proved that veterans can still dominate the NBA landscape. With the additions of former Celtics (and former NBA champions) Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to their already star-studded squad, Brooklyn went 62-20 claiming the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference

Howard gets Harden
After a disappointing season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Dwight Howard signed with the Houston Rockets to join rising All-Star James Harden to lead the team to the 5th seed and proving they came ready to take on the playoffs with full force

Rise of the Rose
Team leader D-Rose of the Chicago Bulls returned from his injury back to his dominant state to average 26.4 ppg and help the Bulls finish 59-23 to clinch the 3rd seed in the East

Return of the Mamba
With Kobe Bryant sidelined following last year’s season-ending Achilles injury, the LA Lakers struggled early but received an emotional boost when Kobe made his first appearance on the court during their annual Christmas Day game, boosting them to .500 and making their way into the playoffs once again

We ran these predictions through the TPS prediction machine and we concluded that 2K with get 40% of predictions correct!
