You aren’t a truly hardcore [read: crazy] fighting game fan if you aren’t at EVO right now. Held in Las Vegas, the Evolution Championship Series has been a testing ground for many fighting games before, and this year is no different. Both on the show floor as well as in private play areas, Sony’s upcoming brawler, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is playable to the show-goers.

Strikes while the fire’s hot, Sony Computer Entertainment has announced two more additions to the game’s roster. As seen in their new promo video, Toro Inoue and Heihachi Mishima. As of today, the total publicly announced roster consists of 10 characters, which include: Nathan Drake (Uncharted), Kratos (God of War), PaRappa (PaRappa the Rapper), Fat Princess (Fat Princess), Colonel Radec (Killzone 2), Big Daddy (BioShock), Sweet Tooth (Twisted Metal), & Sly Cooper (Sly Cooper).

Toro Inoue is one of the infamous (in Japan) “Sony Cats” that has appeared in many games, including the PS3 and Vita versions of Street Fighter X Tekken. Heihachi also appeared in Street Fighter X Tekken, and for good reason; he’s a main character in the Tekken series. While neither are strangers to the fighting game genre, they are certainly welcome, if not strange editions to the roster.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is set to release on both PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3 on October 23rd 2012 in North America and October 24th 2012 in Europe.
