In case you were living under a rock all year, Robert Griffin III was a sensation this year at Baylor. He led the Bears to a 10-3 record and a victory over Washington in a record-setting Alamo Bowl, 67-56. It's only fitting that RG3 would become the cover athlete for NCAA Football 13.

RG3 won the Davey O'Brien Award and was named the Associated Press College Football Player of the Year in 2011. Three years ago he was named the Big 12 Conference Offensive Freshman of the Year by the league’s coaches, setting the school’s rushing yards record for a freshman and for a quarterback with 843 yards for the season. Oh, did I forget to mention that he also won the Heisman Trophy? Well, it's pretty easy to do that when you complete 72.4% of your passes, throw for 4293 yards, have a 37/6 TD/INT ratio and also chip in 699 yards and 10 more scores on the ground. Mighty impressive.

RG3 won't be the only player to be on this year's cover, though. Begging on March 12, fans can head over to the game's Facebook page and vote for one of eight past Heisman Trophy winners. The candidates include former University of Southern California running back Marcus Allen, former Boston College quarterback Doug Flutie, former The Ohio State University running back Eddie George, former The University of Michigan wide receiver Desmond Howard, former Oklahoma State University running back Barry Sanders, former University of Georgia running back Herschel Walker, former Florida State University quarterback Charlie Ward and former University of Houston quarterback Andre Ware. Howard, if you'll remember, was the cover athlete for NCAA Football 06.

NCAA Football 13 will be released on July 10. Be sure to check back here for the winner of the Facebook contest and more details leading up to the game's release.
