Let's just get right out with it: Naughty Bear had some issues. While the core idea of turning cute creatures into murderous monsters is appealing, the final product was plagued with bugs and glitches galore. Enemies often "forgot" to respond to your brutal onslaughts, and when they did run they habitually stopped near open fires or other alluring death traps and practically begged to be slaughtered. Throw a chugging frame rate into the fray and you have yourself a nearly unplayable game.

Artificial Mind and Movement, the developer of Naughty Bear, released a title update today in an attempt to rectify some of the issues present in its latest title. Unfortunately, the patch was simply described as a "code update." With literally no details, we can only speculate as to what will be fixed. Our fingers are crossed that the answer is "everything."

In what could very well be a, "Sorry our game was broken. Here's some free stuff!" move, the code update will include a newly created eighth episode. This new level introduces gamers to the X-Bears, a group of superhero bears led by Danger Bear. The X-Bears also have a die-hard sidekick named "Bubbles" who will brandish an Uzi in his battle against Naughty. No, we aren't making this up.

For all you completion addicts, the eighth episode will contain new costumes, hats, weapons, and challenges to unlock.
