As distinguished journalists, we're always on the hunt for the slightest videogame-related tidbits that may in fact be the early signs of something huge. In this case, our investigative reputations (along with the fact that the rest of the online gaming press has also caught sight of this) led us to Sony Computer Entertainment Japan's online headquarters, where a neatly arranged "software schedule" revealed a whopping six first-party PlayStation 3 titles to be on the horizon, and if we may assume, well into development.

The most predictable of sextet would be a new Gran Turismo, or presumably what we caught sight of at E3 2005 as Vision GT. Signs suggested that another installment of Sony's zany golf series was inevitable, but in next-gen fashion? A listed Hot Shots Golf 5 (perhaps better known as Minno no Golf) suggests so.

And now the good stuff. A tentatively titled Genji 2 proves that Sony is indeed giving its feudal Japan-based slasher a sequel. Three never-before-announced projects also stood out like a sore thumb: an RPG called Angel Rings, Monster Carnival, an action RPG, and The Eye of Judgment, assigned an "undecided" genre. All three game titles were said to be temporary, and the six were under undetermined release dates.

Excited? We're with you there. If Sony is still indeed aiming for a spring 2006 release of its next-generation beast, odds are they'll be giving word of these projects in the near future. Check back for the updates.
