[GC 2007] MGS4 Details Leak Out
All-female bosses? Beauty and the Beast? Wha whaaaaaaat?

All you peoples in Germany right now had been get your ass over to Leipzig pronto because a) we can't be there and we want to know how the Games Convention is going and b) Hideo "don't call me the man" Kojima, the man himself, is going to be doing live presentations of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots starting today (well, yesterday to ze Germans) through Sunday, August 26th.
In addition to hosting stage events, Kojima will show off a brand-new trailer with never-before-seen footage for attendees (or, if you're really good, we might tell you that it's also in this week's PlayStation Store update), as well as presenting Yumi Kikuchi to the crowd, who supplied her pipes to one of the game's main bosses.
Now before you go dashing off to download the trailer, simmah down nah. First, you might want to know what the themes are before the giant "WTF" moment causes your brain to implode. Kojima is going with the theme of "Beauty and the Beast" with MGS4, and to that end he's crafted an all-girl cast of bosses; Racing Raven, Crying Wolf, Laughing Octopus and Screaming Mantis (no, we are so not making any of this up). The idea is that they were once beautiful, but the horrors of war have twisted and transformed them into beasts. Beauty and the Beast, get it?
Words cannot properly convey the kind of whacked-out skills each of the characters possesses, so it's probably best that you download the video off the PlayStation Store, or, if you wait a bit, we should have a version of it up on the site here for you to see.
