Online play. Play that is online. Online. Play. With this game? Goodness, that certainly is something.

The three-on-three tag team craziness that only Marvel vs. Capcom 2 can provide is coming to PSN and Xbox Live this summer, complete with online play, HD upscaling, widescreen support and oh so much more. Based on the Dreamcast codebase, Capcom promises this "will be the definitive version." It's not hard to see why. Beyond the visual glitz and glamor, you won't have to spend your precious free time digging up all those secret characters, as all 56 will be available for your thrashing pleasure right off the bat. No balance tweaking will be done, meaning all your favorite god like teams will still be just as relentlessly brutal as you remember.

There was also mention of independent music volume controls, but honestly, who would ever dream of turning down that smooooth jazz?

The exact release date isn't known, but you lucky PS3 owners will get to taste the sweet bitterness of defeat (if you challenge any of us, obviously) on Thursday, April 30, as PSN will be getting an exclusive demo. Don't you feel special? Well you better start feeling that way, or Storm, Magneto and Sentinel will come down on you with the might of a thousand Evo champions.

The game will retail for $14.99 when released.
