Think you've got the pipes for the role of Bruce Banner or Jean Grey? Activision wants to know about it.

Let's face it: one time or another, we've all attempted to (poorly) mimic the lines of our favorite TV personality/superhero/action badass/Arnold Schwarzenegger, if not to impress our friends, than to impress ourselves in front of the mirror. Sure, it's good for a laugh or two, but what if that remarkably accurate vocal impersonation of a well-known persona could actually land you a role in a high-budget videogame and a bevy of extravagant prizes to go along with it? Yes, we're serious.

In anticipation of its forthcoming doozy of a superhero title, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Activision is running just such a promotion. With the game's sprawling universe of 140 Marvel likenesses, you'd better believe there are a lot of shoes to fill (or should we say voices?). However way you slice it, the roles of Bruce Banner and Jean Grey are up for grabs, and if you've got some VHS tape to burn and the pipes to offer, you're an ideal candidate, friend.

Entering the contest is a cinch: just clickity-click your way to www.marvelultimatealliance.com (or enter by mail, but you'll need the official info from the site as it is) to get started. Contestants simply must submit a full color photograph of themselves, a VHS audition tape reading the provided lines for either the part of Banner or Grey, as well as a completed entry form. Superhero costumes are optional, but will have no effect whatsoever on your odds of winning, so the official entry assures us.

And the prizes? The two contest winners (one male, one female) will each snag a grand prize that includes an Xbox 360, a copy of the game on their choice platform, a Stan Lee-signed Marvel: Ultimate Alliance poster and official deck of game-inspired playing cards. The grinning pair of winners will also receive a paid trip to Los Angeles to record the voiceover and even grab lunch with the producers of the game. Ten runner-up contestants will also be selected for an assortment of additional prizes, including their selection of any of the Activision titles from its 2005 line-up. Not a bad deal, eh?

For the full-rundown, legal jive, and alllll the other official goodness we know you're just going to skim through, you can get it here. Now git to recording, and be sure to drop in a shameless TPS plug somewhere in there!
