PSN Update Extravaganza!
Battle Katamaris!

Just a brief note to let you know there are a couple of new things up on the PSN that I missed in the weekly update. Or maybe there was no weekly update!
First off, there were a few PS1 classics that actually were CLASSICS for a change. This week saw the release of Silent Hill and Legacy of Kain : Blood Omen. Both are excellent games from the era, and both hold up decently well, check 'em out if you haven't! Also Syphon Filter 2. I can't speak to the quality of that one though.
Also out is the demo for Katamari Forever. I've gushed about Katamari in the past, so I'll just say if more fun than you can shake a stick at. Or roll up in a ball. One word of warning though. I played the Japanese demo and the slowdown is VERY noticeable, which is pretty disappointing for a game with such low graphical fidelity. Hopefully they iron out those problems before the game gets released. The soundtrack still can't be beat though!
Another game worth mentioning is Battle Tanks. Essentially another take on Worms (or Scorched Earth for those old enough to recall it), Battle Tanks is a fun 4-player game where you try and use your tank and clever tactics to blow up your opponents. Sounds simple? It is, but it can be fun. For 10 bucks, you might be the hit of your next party!
Of course there were various other things released, as the list below will show you. Also of note is the Turtles in Time remake and some new multiplayer content for Red Faction. All in all, this was a more meaty update then we have been seeing for a few weeks. Let's hope it continues this Thursday!
