Kane and Lynch Comics on the Way
Holy psychopathic murderers, Batman!

Somebody tell Batman and Robin to move over. There's a new dynamic duo in town.
IO Interactive has recently announced a partnership with DC Comics to create a series based on Kane and Lynch, everybody's favorite anti-heroes. Few details have been revealed regarding the storyline of the upcoming series, but we do know that it will explore the convicts' brutal pasts. Honestly, we were hoping to see Lynch rescuing folks from a burning building, or Kane escorting old ladies across a busy street. No form fitting, spandex suits though, please. Gross.
Niels Jorgensen, general manager of IO Interactive, stated, "We could not be happier about this partnership and expansion into comics. Who better to work with than DC Comics? We hope the comic book world is ready for the violent mayhem of Kane & Lynch."
Returning the love, Hank Kanalz of DC comics acknowledged, "Kane & Lynch are two of the most interesting videogame characters I have ever seen. I think this new series will show the diversity of our line of books, as our creators capture the essence of these two criminals."
We're not sure what that essence is, but it's probably very, very smelly.
Ian Edginton, a man with over two decades of comic book experience, will be penning the Kane and Lynch series. He has worked on several big names including Aliens, Predator, Terminator, Star Trek, and Doctor Who. Chris Mitten, the artist behind the Wasteland series, will create the illustrations.
Unsurprisingly, the first issue will be releasing alongside Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days this August.
