Stories bridging the gab between sequels are all the rage today. They might take the form of an iOS game (Mass Effect Galaxies) or a downloadable interactive comic/game (Dead Space: Ignition), or, they might in the case of the inFAMOUS series, be told in a real life hold-it-in-your-hand comic book.

In advance of the upcoming inFAMOUS 2 release, Sucker Punch Productions and DC Comics are teaming up to bring out brand new chapters in the inFAMOUS storyline. Written by William Harms and drawn by Eric Nguyen, the comics will tackle the tale of what happened to Cole after he took care of business in the first game, and what events transpired to get him to the new locale of New Marais in the South. The epic tale will be told over six volumes that will introduce a new antagonist to Cole's universe.

The inFAMOUS comic series will be available at retailers everywhere for $2.99 per issue and playstationcomics.com beginning March 2011.

inFAMOUS 2 will feature a more emotional and powerful hero experience (and a redesigned Cole), as the electrified one struggles with a new enemy, "The Beast". After narrowly surviving a battle with this new baddy, Cole flees to the South to do the Bruce Wayne thing and find a way for destroy his new enemy. Once again, he will be faced with the moral dilemmas that will make him righteous or inFAMOUS.
