More Rock Band and Guitar Hero News
Prices range from $1.99 to $229.99

It seems like every day more tracks are coming to Rock Band and Guitar Hero, but it isn't every day that we see a premium third-party drum kit coming out (although those days are coming).
Available now for Rock Band, on the PSN or the Rock Band store, are three new packs. First up is the legendary Judas Priest pack, featuring classic LIVE tunes "Dissident Aggressor", "Eat Me Alive", and "Prophecy". Get out your leather vest and get ready to bang heads! Also available is the Big Dipper pack (again I say, who?) featuring "All Going Out Together", "She's Fetching", and "Younger Bums". Rounding out this weeks packs are The Dead Weather with "Hang You From the Heavens", "No Hassle Night", and "Treat Me Like Your Mother" (nice). As usual, these retail for $1.99 each or $5.49 for the pack.
Two new tracks at hitting today for Rock Band Unplugged for the PSP, bringing the total to 21 (my lucky number!). Look for Killswitch Engage's "My Curse" and Radiohead's (yay!) "My Iron Lung" (meh) on PSN and the RB Store for $1.99 each.
Finally, Guitar Hero doesn't have any new tracks to tell you about (until tomorrow) but instead get some pretty heavy new in the announcement by Logitech that they are bringing out a premium drum controller. Set to retail for $230, and in stores TODAY, the new controller features wireless control via USB, so it works for PS3 or PS2, and runs for 50 hours on just 2 AA batteries. With 3 fully adjustable drum heads and two cymbals the drum kit can fit your style perfectly, and the recessed rims make it easier to score (hey that's cheating!) and they threw some stainless steel on those things to make sure you don't stain them. While I appreciate a quality controller, and while I usually think this argument is stupid, I do have to say that if you are dropping $230 on some drums, you might as well just get a crappy REAL drum kit and you know, really play music. But if you and your buds have put together the best virtual band at school, then you sure as hell should get you 'rents to pick this up for you for Labor Day (who doesn't like Labor Day gifts!) so you can take your skills to the next level.
