Guitar Hero Track-Pack Roundup
Still no Elvis! I want Elvis!
Published: July 8, 2009
Our good friends at Activision and RedOctane can’t stop releasing more tracks, and who would want them to? With new tracks hitting for Guitar Hero World Tour and an announcement of some of the Guitar Hero 5 tracks, we’ve got a lot to cover.
Available NOW for GHWT is the Victory Track Pack, which I was SURE was some kind of Michael Jackson tribute, but instead it’s 3 new tracks from some bands I’m not too familiar with. A Day to Remember’s “NJ Legion Iced Tea”, The Sleeping’s “Bomb the World” and Silverstein’s “I Am The Arsonist”. But WAIT! The next three weeks will feature the Eagles of Death Metal Track Pack (who are THEY?) with the songs “Anything Cept The Truth”, “Cherry Cola” and “I Only Want You”, followed by the Vargant Records Pack and the Knuckle Sandwich Pack (with the Dropkick Murphys!). As usual, the pack will be $5.49 and individual tracks will cost $1.99.
Activision also let the cat out of the bag about 24 of the 85 songs available at release for Guitar Hero 5, which ships on September 1st. I know you can’t wait… so here is the list!
• Band Of Horses - “Cigarettes, Wedding Bands”
• Beastie Boys - “Gratitude”
• Beck - “Gamma Ray”
• Billy Squier - “Lonely Is The Night”
• Blur - “Song 2”
• Bob Dylan - “All Along The Watchtower”
• Children Of Bodom - “Done With Everything, Die For Nothing”
• Coldplay - “In My Place”
• Darkest Hour - “Demon(s)”
• David Bowie - “Fame”
• Deep Purple - “Woman From Tokyo ('99 Remix)”
• Elliott Smith - “L.A.”
• Iggy Pop - “Lust For Life (Live)”
• Jeff Beck - “Scatterbrain (Live)”
• John Mellencamp - “Hurts So Good”
• Kings Of Leon - “Sex On Fire”
• Queens Of The Stone Age - “Make It Wit Chu”
• Rose Hill Drive - “Sneak Out”
• Santana - “No One To Depend On (Live)”
• The Bronx - “Six Days A Week”
• Thrice - “Deadbolt”
• Tom Petty - “Runnin' Down A Dream”
• Vampire Weekend - “A-Punk”
• Wolfmother - “Back Round”
Can’t wait to see the other 61 tracks! Can we PLEASE get some Elvis already??
