Ozzy to headline virtual Ozzfest in Guitar Hero: World Tour

Plus a whole clusterf&@k of musicians to appear in the game. No word on any ant-snorting/piss-drinking/dove/bat-decapitating minigames, though.

News is in that the virtual likeness of Ozzy himself will be headlining Ozzfest as a playable character in Guitar Hero: World Tour, and give you the chance to play songs such as Crazy Train and Mr. Crowley and start crying because Randy Rhodes is still very much dead.

Not only that, but the venue will apparently feature Mr. Zakk Wylde as himself, performing "Stillborn" by the Black Label Society, Metallica performing "Trapped Under Ice", and System of a Down with "B.Y.O.B.", which is already a downloadable song for Guitar Hero III.

For a game that is unabashedly ripping off Rock Band, improving on the formula, and touting it as revolutionary (along with the cooler, new stuff they have planned for it - ZOMG SONG CREATOR), at least Activision is putting their money towards getting good musicians for their game. It'll be cool to be able to have Zakk in there, though a better song choice might have been the Geddy Lee/Zakk Wylde tour-de-force Spirit Formation Journey Anniversary. They've even taken one of the older Metallica songs from when they were still writing their awesome music with bassist Cliff Burton. Girls still won't like you for being good at Guitar Hero, though. Pussy.
