[Rock Block] December 14th
Green Day really helps get the (gar)FUNK(el) out! More Beatles!
Published: December 14, 2009
With all these fancy pants music games offering new songs almost every week, we figured we'd come up with a quick, easy (and lazy) way to consolidate all the news of what you'll find on the PlayStation Store and in the games' own stores (if they have 'em) each and every Thursday. Handy? Yeah, we know, but that's just the way we roll.
Bear in mind that this includes both the obvious titles like the various Rock Bands and Guitar Heroes out there, but can also include straight karaoke affairs Sony's own SingStar titles or the Karaoke Revolution games too, not to mention stuff from other publishers that fit neatly into this category. No, there won't always be stuff for those other games, but at the very least, the tidal wave of DLC can be easily managed right here. Bear in mind that in many of the bigger games, the DLC will work for both the newest and previous entries into the series, so just because you don't have the latest and greatest versions, we'll still be able to keep you up to date.
Yes, we love you too.
[Guitar Hero 5]
Hipster rock fans unite! Guitar Hero 5 has you covered!

Not only are they adding a new Green Day track pack, they have decided that YOU don't want ANYTHING more than MORE Green Day! Thus, the very recently announced Rock Band : Green Day! Seriously, Green Day? I mean, they have covered them a bit already with two track packs, so do we really need another 40+ Green Day tracks? Let's hope they cover some of the pre-Dookie stuff when Green Day was still sorta cool!
[Green Day]

"¡Viva La Gloria!" +

Nothing new this week... sorry guys!
[The Beatles : Rock Band]
Another month, another Beatles album DLC pack! This time it is the super groovy tunes of Rubber Soul!
With “Drive My Car,” “I’m Looking Through You” and “If I Needed Someone” already included on The Beatles: Rock Band game disc, players will now be able to play songs from, and complete, the entire Rubber Soul album, including:
“Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)”
“You Won’t See Me”
“Nowhere Man”
“Think For Yourself”
“The Word”
“Michelle”
“What Goes On”
“Girl”
“In My Life”
“Wait”
“Run For Your Life”

As a semi-Beatles fan, I can say with absolute authority that I am not all that interested in any of those tracks... ah well!
