Gamestop will be hosting Grand Theft Auto IV launch events nationwide on Monday April 28th at more than 3,500 of its US stores. There will be trivia contests, GTA look-a-like contests, giveaways, punch, cookies... okay, maybe not those last two, but there might be food, you never know. Either way, you'll be standing around with twenty to thirty other assorted, shifty people waiting for the 12:01 a.m Tuesday release, at which point you'll stand around for another couple of minutes before jumping into your car and hightailing it home.

Participating Gamestops are looking at starting the event around 9:00 p.m local time, but you should probably call up before you go setting up shop just to confirm what's really happening. Just don't give them your phone number or expect a call a week later asking if you'd like to sell Grand Theft Auto IV back to them. Hey, I had to get my obligatory Gamestop joke in.
