Kaos Studios, Assemmmble!
Ex-Trauma Studios veterans are under a new name, and already working on their first project. A next-gen project, that is.

Already a month into 2006, public knowledge on PlayStation 3 software is still quasi-secretive, though no doubt brewing. We know who is working on a next-gen project, just not what they are. To add to our inquisitiveness, joining the list is Kaos Studios, a newly-formed company founded by former Trauma Studios vets (the creators of Desert Combat and Battlefield 2 R&D) and under the publishing wing of THQ.
"THQ is a great home for experienced, creative teams like ours," bragged Frank DeLise, lead designer, Kaos Studios. "When we looked at all the opportunities available to us, we found they truly foster creativity and embrace new, original intellectual properties. THQ was absolutely the best choice, hands down."
Don't let the sudden formation fool you - Kaos is already hard at work on their first original intellectual property, slated for 2007 release on Windows PC and, yep, next generation consoles.
"THQ is committed to supporting strong creative talent, as evidenced by our growing internal development system which now numbers 18 teams across 12 studios," added Dan Kelly, senior vice president of business development, THQ. "We are thrilled to make the full resources of THQ available to the Kaos team to help them realize their vision of building a world-class studio in New York City that will deliver compelling original properties."
Follow-up details on the Kaos team and their supersecret project are said to be forthcoming in 2006. Updates, here we come!
