[Shipping Out] October 7th

SHOTEH FOCK OP!!!

Published: October 7, 2008
Welcome to Shipping Out, our weekly notice of all them thar games that ship from publishers to retailers in preparation for their street date a day later. In many cases, these games won't be on store shelves until tomorrow, but in the interest of getting the word out, letting the PR departments have their fancy quotes and saving us sanity as the weekly releases pile up, we're going to be consolidating everything down into one handy little news story at the end of the day, along with this description. Neat, eh? And lazy!

It's the TPS way.

[PlayStation 3]

[Fracture]

Available on store shelves in North America with a release in Europe on Friday, October 10 and in Asia-Pac on Wednesday, October 15. In Fracture, global warming and the search for methods of combating its effects have split the United States, and the world, in two. In the east is the Atlantic Alliance, a staunch supporter and leading innovator of cybernetic solutions to the world's problems. Their adversary is the Republic of Pacifica and their Pacific Rim allies in the west. They advocate adapting the human genome to cope with the changing world. Both factions are armed with a new type of tectonic technology that allows armies to raise and lower defenses out of the earth at any location of their choosing, and who doesn't love deformable terrain?

[PlayStation 2]

[Crash: Mind Over Mutant]

In Crash: Mind Over Mutant, a rejuvenated Neo Cortex is taking over the world one brain at a time! Cortex and N. Brio devise a new kind of evil - a text-messaging, do-anything device that controls both mutant and bandicoot minds. The "free-romping" experience allows players to voyage and explore through intersecting worlds, giving them a new game play experience depending on which mutant Crash stores in his pocket for the ride. Armed with his quick-wits and lightening agility, Crash must free his friends, the titans and save the day!

In the deepest Crash adventure yet players are armed with new features, including the ability not only to control enemies once they are 'jacked,' but to store the mutants in Crash's pocket, upgrade them and utilize their unique powers. Players can also roam through Wumpa Island in a two-player cooperative mode with Crash's sister Coco.

[PlayStation Portable]

[Crash: Mind Over Mutant]

Handy portable version of the game above!
