Quite the assorted collection of downloadables you have to choose from this week, PS3 faithfuls. For starters, we've got the Master of Arts thesis gone Internet Flash phenomenon, flOw. Kick back and submerge yourself into some truly soothing gameplay, guiding one of five unique creatures through the abyss via the SixAxis, using different techniques to outwit enemy creatures and thus boost your own organism's attributes.

Or how about a throwback to ye olde arcade days? Q*bert has returned, giving players the chance to get their pyramid hopping on with the loveable Noser, all in 720p glory. Or HEY, maybe even a little high-intensity drift racing action? A Ridge Racer 7 demo is there for you, complete with a 3-lap arcade mode, 8 cars to choose from and 13 AI vehicles to challenge.

And hey, why not a company quote to celebrate?

"Gamers who have yet to experience Ridge Racer 7 will now have the opportunity to do so with this free downloadable demo," offers Makoto Iwai, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Namco Bandai Games America Inc. "We are confident that after experiencing a sample of Ridge Racer 7's impressive drift racing mechanics and fun gameplay through this demo, players will realize that Ridge Racer 7 is the missing element in their PlayStation 3 system collection."

Here's a handy dandy breakdown of today's additions to the PlayStation Network and what it'll cost you, since we know you guys like 'em nice and bite-sized:

-- flOw ($7.99) - Gamers can pilot an aquatic organism through a surreal biosphere, consume other organisms, evolve, and advance their creature throughout the deep abyss - all in full 1080p HD resolution.
-- Q*bert ($4.99) - Relive the '80s with this retro arcade hit! Q*bert, the colorful, loveable Noser jumps into high definition on the PS3. Score points by hopping around the pyramid and changing the cube colors, but keep an eye out for Q*bert's springy nemesis, Coily, and his dastardly friends.
-- Ridge Racer 7 (free demo) - Experience drift racing in all its 1080p glory with this sampling of the legendary racing series.

Should be plenty to hold you over, huh (and what with Virtua Fighter 5 finally hitting the states, you should really be set)? Until next time!
