War, it never changes disks, not with the advent of DLC!

Those words were spoken by a great man. (Is it arrogant to call myself a great man?) Playstation 3 owners have been feeling pretty left out the 6 months or so as all those fancy Microsoft boys were playing all their expansions, the rest of us have been going back to Tenpenny Tower over and over again, relentlessly searching for more bobby pins. But those ages of impatience are about to be rewarded, as the full stable of DLC packs are coming to the PSN starting NEXT WEEK! That's right, soon you too will be able to explore a historical military simulation, stop slavers in the ruins of Pittsburgh (good riddance), delve into the mysteries of the Brotherhood of Steel, lookout for pointy things, and visit the aliens. Finally! And if you HAVEN'T explored the wastes of Washington, D.C. yet, now you'll be able to get the whole shebang, Fallout 3 and all 5 expansions, in one (semi) reasonably priced package! Check out the details...

PlayStation 3 Downloadable Content

Today we released an update for the PS3 version of Fallout 3 that addresses a number of issues, includes some optimizations, and adds trophy support for the DLC. The first DLC for PS3, “Broken Steel”, will be available next Thursday, September 24th. That will be followed by the release of “Operation: Anchorage” and “The Pitt” on October 1st, and “Point Lookout” and “Mothership Zeta” on October 8th.

Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition

We are also pleased to announce that Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition will be available at retail on Tuesday, October 13th. The Game of the Year edition includes the critically-acclaimed game as well as all five downloadable content packs. The game will retail for $59.99.

So load up on some jet, because that is a hundred plus hours of gameplay coming down the pipe (rifle) in less than a month!
