Welcome to the update where I can't really find too much to say about any one of these announcements, so I'll lump 'em all into one big update you can peruse at you leisure. This week has a plethora of upcoming games and DLC, none of which is all THAT compelling, but hey, WET just might be your cup of tea, who can say?

As you may have already surmised, the biggest announcement this week comes from Bethesda Softworks, the developer of Oblivion and Fallout 3. Their next game? WET, yes all in CAPS, a highly stylized mix of action and acrobatics for the PS3. It's a little too early to pass any judgement on this game yet, but I think the title is the first TRIPLE-entendre I have ever heard. For more info, and sexy screenshots of the female protagonist (ah it will never end) visit the official website.

Who didn't love Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz? You? What's wrong with you man! Fine then, I guess you won't be interested to learn that Ubisoft is developing a game for PS3 (and maye PSP) based on the newest Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead...) film, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. No idea yet how a game based on a film based on a graphic novel will turn out, but hopefully better that Watchmen game. More details as they are revealed!

From the "DId we really need this?" department, comes an announcement from 2K sports about a new downloadable game coming to PSN this fall. No doubt you have been waiting for someone to announce NBA2K10 : Draft Combine, where you get to create a player and take him through a grueling draft combine of workouts before eventually watching him get drafted! Yes, you do get to then import said player into NBA2K10, assuming you get that as well. He'll even wear a special patch to indicate he was in the combine! Yippie! Plus you can look forward to MLB 2K11 : Latin American Scout, where you play a minigame to falsify the birth certificate of 15 year olds so they can get drafted! Pre-order now!

Remember F.E.A.R. 2? Well dust it off, or toss it back in the Goozex queue, because Warner Brothers is putting out F.E.A.R. 2: Reborn, a 4-level single player expansion pack, coming September 3rd. If you just CAN'T play games alone, the pack will also come with a free update to multiplayer that adds in Slo-Mo powerup for deathmatch, that, well, it's pretty self explanatory. More F.E.A.R. 2!

PSP owners, don't fret. there are TWO announcements for you too! One of them I am going to save for it's own story, but the other is the announcement of Warriors Orochi 2 going GOLD and shipping out in just over 3 weeks, on August 25th. The 30th or so installment in the Warriors series from Koei continues the tradition of lots of fighting. And lots of heroes. And all those other Warriors things you get in these games. On the go.

OK, that's about it for now, but be sure to check back daily for more updates and the occasional really big exciting story. Keep reading!
