Summer is a slow time, and there is not a lot of new content to announce yet this week, but that can be good news for your wallet after the recent months saw a spate of great releases. The best news of all is that for no money at all, you can breathe some life into a couple of older games in your collection!

This week on the PS3, Dynasty Warriors 6 : Empires gets the first of a whole series of planned DLC. While the new armor sets (2 each for men and women) and additional BGM track don't really add any new gameplay into the mix, they do give you a new reason to drag out those old warriors for another match, just to see how they look in their new royal armor set. Look for more content next week, and every two weeks after that.

For those of you who have already put 100+ hours into Disgaea 3, the news of NIS releasing a trophy patch may or may not be greeted with joy. While it will be great to finally have all those sleepless nights grinding rewarded with a platinum trophy, the bad news is that the new patch is NOT compatible with existing save games, so if you want those trophies you need to start a whole new game. But hey, you know you wanted a reason to begin anew...

Finally, the PSP gets a little love, and it's something besides Rock Band Unplugged tracks. Atlus released Steambot Chronicles Battle Tournament, offering PSP owners deep mech customization, open mission structure and mulitplayer for up to 4 players, using just one UMD. When a series of bandit attacks affects the city's economy, only one (or up to four) anime stereotype will have the metal and the mettle (GET IT?) to put a stop to it! Out now for PSP at a select (they agreed to stock it) retailer near you.
