PlayStation Home isn't a venue I visit often on my PS3. Frankly, if it ain't a Battlefield game, it doesn't load on my console. But I might be changing my mind soon, as should JRPG nerds.

Today on the PlayStation Blog, Home community manager announced that two Disgaea spaces will be added to the social network. Scheduled to release this Thursday, these spaces are designed to bring haunting grinding memories to those brave enough to play Disgaea 3. Although you don't need to play the game (or any in the series) to understand and appreciate these new Home spaces, it doesn't hurt.

The environments will replicate The Nether Institute (the evil Netherworld academy that is the basis of Disgaea 3) and Mao's Room (the living quarters and laboratory for the mad scientist/prince of the Netherworld). Each space will house some trivia test and games, as well as open up the opportunity to win some Home goodies, like Disgaea 3 Gold, Silver, and Bronze trophies to display in your Personal Space. Sadly, playing in Home will not unlock any in-game trophies in the actual PS3 game so you won't be any closer to that nearly impossible platinum. Alas, I guess if you REALLY want 100% in Disgaea 3, you shouldn't be putsing around in Home.

Look forward to being hit in the face with a Prinny Bomb by your truly later this week.
