Demon's Souls Online Servers Extended Again

By decree of Old King Doran!

If for some reason you still have not played Demon's Souls, take a few minutes to read our review and hurry down to Ye Olde Game Stoppe or wherever and grab the greatest hits version. Then thank your lucky stars that Atlus has realized how criminal it would be to get rid of the non-vital but oh so integral online portion of this game. Therefore, they have committed to keeping the servers up and running at least through the second anniversary of the release of the game, which could be up to next October, depending on what region release date they use.

In the words of Atlus PR guru Aram (no relation) Jabbari, "Honestly, we're more worried the servers will shut us down than the other way around," he whispered before leaning back and laughing aloud nervously.

To help celebrate this event and other pagan and non-pagan holidays, the worlds of Boleteria will be Pure White Tendency from December 20th until sometime in early 2011. This means even if you beat the game once, there will be some new content to go back to if you decide to hop back on now, which is exactly what I am going to do. Except I have an import copy, and I doubt those in Glorious Nippon are celebrating the same way we are here.

Now if someone would just patch in Move controls... ah well, hopefully in the sequel!
