Costume Quest Dresses For Success On The PSN

Is there a more appropriate Halloween game, ever?

Ah, fall. The leaves change color, the weather cools and people break out their fleece jackets. Well most of you do. Here at the TPS Northern Tundra Satellite Office and Moose Research Station, we are already breaking out the peacoats and Carhartts. We're also breaking out the giant inflatable spiders, screaming ghoul heads and scads of fake webbing in honor of Halloween. Fun fact... the TPS Northern Tundra Satellite Office and Moose Research Station also has a fully fledged costume shop on the premises (it's true!), so we take our all-hallows day pretty seriously around these parts.

So do the sharply witty minds over at DoubleFine studios who have just released their first ever digital game with Costume Quest hitting the PSN this week. You might remember DoubleFine from their work on the overlooked Psychonauts and misunderstood Brutal Legend. Maybe you remember Lead Designer Tim Schafer from such classics as Grim Fandango and Monkey Island. If you know them, then you know that they are at the top of the pile when it comes to putting comedy into games.

Costume Quest looks to continue this legacy with an adventure game that takes place on a Halloween night in an All-American suburban neighborhood, mall, and carnival where you never know if the next door you visit will be a nice old lady with Snickers bars, or a horrible beast bent on devouring you (or at least your candy). Children shouldn't have to face such dangers alone, so thankfully their costumes can transform into more beastly versions of themselves to aid you in defending your diabetic delectables. With a wide range of costumes to choose from, snappy dialogue and graphics that can safely be categorized as cute, Costume Quest is available right now for $14.99 on the PSN. Would you rather play this or eat 3 bags of Hershey's Miniatures? One makes you laugh and one makes you fat, if that helps!
