I know, I know, there are a lot of Tower Defense games out there competing for your attentions. I myself am hard pressed to drag myself away from PixelJunk Monsters, one of the better ones out there (out now for the PSP). Not to mention there are scores of free ones. But you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't try out Comet Crash, which certainly ranks as one of the better TD games available on the PSN. Featuring 3 player action, Comet Crash is fast, frenetic fun that I still go back months after it's release.

There is no better time than now to pick up Comet Crash for the first time, or to get back into it if you had moved on (and who can blame you with the glut of new AAA titles flooding the scene), because Pelfast is pleased to announce an all-new content update for the critically acclaimed PSN title available today. The content update will add a new layer of strategy and action for fans, as it introduces fresh maps that will test even the best military strategist. The update also debuts the new “Expert” difficulty setting for those looking for a greater challenge, as well as four new “Resurgence” levels, which players unlock at the end of each Comet while playing through the campaign. Find all of these updates and more available today for Comet Crash on the PlayStation Store!

In Comet Crash, players must use everything at their disposal, including defenses bristling with high-tech weaponry, to stop the rush of enemies from destroying their base. Unlike traditional tower defense games, players must then rally their own forces and launch offensive strikes against the alien threat, using a number of different mobile units, such as the nimble Scout or specialized Thief, which can turn enemy units into powerful allies. Featuring a robust Campaign Mode with 28 challenging and puzzle-like stages, as well as various multiplayer and co-op modes, Comet Crash offers a gripping combination of strategy and action.

Seriously! It's a great game! And it just got better! You can make a little time for it...
