After much debate over what it actually is, the PlayStation 3 exclusive BioShock downloadable content has finally been revealed. It comes as a pleasant surprise for anyone who was expecting nothing more than perhaps a few new weapons or plasmids as it looks to be a nice little chunk of underwater goodness to sink your teeth into. This new content does not have any relation to the main storyline of the game however, with 2K games claiming it as something entirely seperate but still firmly rooted in the BioShock universe.

What's up for grabs then? Well come November 20th you'll be able to purchase the DLC for $9.99 from the PlayStation Store, containing three challenge rooms featuring new locations, objectives and artwork not seen anywhere else in the game. As if that wasn't good enough for you, you'll also have some new trophies to obsess over. Whilst we're not entirely sure what you'll have to do to earn those trophies, we are fairly certain it will present quite a challenge when you have the following challenge rooms to contend with:

A Shocking Turn of Events - A Little Sister is trapped atop a Ferris wheel in an undisclosed location in Rapture. Using only the tools and environment around them, players must use their wits to create electricity to power the Ferris wheel and bring the Little Sister to safety.

The I in Team - Using limited resources, and an even more limited arsenal, players must negotiate traps and find a way to defeat a Big Daddy using their wits instead of raw firepower. Here's a hint - Do a barrel roll.

Worlds of Hurt - Step up and take on the most grueling challenge offered in the world of Rapture. Players must battle through eight rooms of Big Daddies, Splicers and the worst that Rapture has to offer. Accumulate Adam, build an arsenal of Plasmids, Tonics and Weaponry, and fight through to rescue the Little Sister. It's like Doom all over again, with "SPLOICERS!!".
