This is a curious one isn't it? See the latest trailer for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Asylum game is being included in the DVD release of The Dark Knight, with no mention about it's inclusion with the much-anticipated Blu Ray release. The stranger thing however is that this trailer is actually really quite good, and sets a brilliantly sinister tone for the upcoming game. Sounds weird doesn't it? Considering that the big guy hasn't exactly been in a good video game for quite some time now, with his latest outing being the campy Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe things have been looking a bit bleak for our caped crusader. That's not to say that things don't look bleak in this trailer either, but it's a good kind of bleak, not the bad kind.

If you have no idea what this Arkham Asylum thing is all about however, then I suggest you try and pick up a copy of the graphic novel that this game is based on called Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth. Try to avoid Ebay though, people want entirely too much money for it on there and as far as I know it was recently reissued. In essence though the novel takes place in Gotham City's favourite mad house and is much darker and twisted than you're probably used to with Batman's escapades, which should lend itself perfectly to a less embarrassing game for our favourite pointy-eared billionaire.
