We can understand that Ubisoft probably wants to keep the news about Assassin's Creed flowing as much as possible, and considering the big ass splash actress Kristen Bell made when moving over to Heroes after her show Veronica Mars was unceremoniously canned after the third season, it's probably good to use her name a little to help push a few more copies of the game.

Except Bell has already talked about her part in the game a little, and a very minor slip actually cause a few ripples throughout the shadowy corners of the internet on dank little digital environs like message boards. Though the role the apparently futuristic aspect of the game plays has been a closely guarded secret, Bell, let slip that it had to do with genetic memory, prompting a bit of speculation about where the game was headed, plot-wise.

Luckily for us, we only have to wait a few more days to find out (well, we know, but we can't talk about it for fear that Ubisoft's real-life in-house Altair will make a little... "appearance" at our offices, at which time updates will become even more scarce than they already are). Here now with some awesome marketing speak to get you pumped, is Ubisoft.

"It was crucial to find an actress who could convey the emotional range and talent needed to play this key character in the Assassin's universe," explains AC producer Jade Raymond. "Kristen Bell is a remarkable actress who was able to bring her character to life in a dynamic way that I don't think anyone else could have done properly. Her professionalism and dynamic personality were a perfect fit for this project."

"I was a big video gamer growing up, so working on Assassin's Creed is my chance to be a part of video game history," added Kristen Bell. "It's something completely different than what I've done before, so it's cool I get to branch out and try another entertainment medium. I was attracted to this project because of the intelligent storyline and the character I play. Plus I admire the artistry of the graphics of video games. I look forward to seeing what my character will look like and I can't wait to play the game and see if I can beat it!"

Awww, isn't she cuuute? Yes, yes she is. Assassin's Creed hits stores next week.
