Transformers Transforms Into a Packaged Product

Evil masterminds and good guys around the world now have a game that both of them can play, and that game is Transformers. Rolling out into stores alongside the movie, Transformers allows players to join forces with the AUTOBOTS of DECEPTICONS as they seek to save or destroy the the planet. When it comes down to it, it's all up to you, really. Speaking of the movie, Jeff Burdeen, Vice President of Digital Media for HPG noted, "The Activision team has done an outstanding job of replicating the live-action movie scale and realism into TRANSFORMERS: The Game,". Awesome.

Players can assume the role of various characters such as Optimus Prime (of course), Megatron, Ironhide, Starscream, and Bumblebee, each of them boasting different weapons and ways to fight. To be honest, we'd hesitate to call this a Transformers game without such a lineup, so it's a good thing that it's staying true to the franchise. Will Kassoy of Activision confirmed that they are planning to "appeal to Generation 1 fans".

The environments are fully desctructable and gameplay varies as players have to frequently juggle between robot and vehicle forms in order to stay alive and accomplish the task at hand. We'll have a review for you up soon if we don't get caught up in the movie which debuts on July 3rd.
