A Second Shot of Tequila

Thought Midway was done with Stranglehold now that the game's out? Wrooooong.

Downloadable content is double-edged sword. Does a developer hold back on offering everything on the disc and release the other stuff online, or do they try to bolster sales of games with extra new content after the game has shipped that the consumer pays for -- usually at a premium compared to the price of the retailed disc? No publisher would admit to the former, of course, and it becomes a game of either building in enough content to make that $60 worth it or at least creating the illusion of that content.

We still don't know what side Stranglehold falls under (mainly because we haven't gotten the friggin' game yet -- we want to give it love, Midway, you hear us? Loooooove!), but the fact that they're prepping a whopping ten multiplayer maps for download via the PSN "soon" means that either way, there were some long hours put in at Midway's Chicago office. In addition to the multiplayer maps, which range from Chicago rooftops to the Kowloon Market to Wong's estate, 21 skins will be added to give you a little variety in who you shoot.

We've got four screens of the new levels, but, uh, just kinda ignore that 360 d-pad. We're lazy, so just picture it looking pretty much identical on your PS3... but with a lower framerate or something.
