Civilization's Revolution Hits the Interweb
Begin the revolution, friends.

Civ fans, rejoice: Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution website (found at www.civilizationrevolution.com) has come out of the Stone Age and entered the Internet Age. 2K Games is hoping that it becomes the single be-all source for everything Civ Rev related, like game information, concept art, and whatever else they feel like throwing up on the page. It goes without saying that community will play a major part, as 2K Games is planning podcasts from the developers and all sorts of little updates regarding the game that the tight-knit community will be the first to receive.
I've never been much of a Civilization player myself, but I know for a fact that it's an engrossing game that can quickly suck up all of your free time. Spending all of that time at your computer can be really taxing, not to mention the posterior pain after a ten to twelve hour session. That's why it's releasing for PlayStation 3 on June 3rd, 2008. Now you'll be able to sit on your couch while wiling away those precious hours.
For those fearing that the game won't be fun with a controller, fear not: it's not a PC port. Firaxis built this one from the ground up specifically for consoles, and threw in multi-player to boot.
If anything, the new graphical approach that Firaxis took should be enough of a selling point, but the game offers a streamlined interface as well. 2K Games wants to bring the same ease-of-use and polish to the consoles as the PC version receieves.
At the end of the day, Civ Rev really is shaping up to be a game that screams “Must Buy”. All I know is that this game can't come soon enough.
