Rock Band to go to Europe
There's only one catch.
Published: May 21, 2008
After what may seem like the longest wait in history, Europe is finally getting Rock Band. By the end of the week, the UK, France, and Germany will finally get a taste of what North America has been experiencing since 2007. There's only one bit of bad news in all of this: its a 360 only launch for a few months. Sorry PlayStation 3 owners.
New tracks to be featured in the package, in addition to the 58 tracks from the North American release, are broken up according to territory. These tracks will possibly be included in the PlayStation 3 version later this summer:
Blur “Beetlebum” (English) (cover)
Oasis “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star” (English)
Tokio Hotel “Monsoon” (English)
Muse “Hysteria” (English)
Les Wampas “Manu Chao” (French)
Playmo “New Wave” (French)
Die Toten Hosen “Hier Kommt Alex” (German)
Juli “Perfekte Welle” (German)
H-Block X “Countdown to Insanity” (German)
PAL regions will also have access to all downloadable content from the outset, with new content available simultaneously between the two regions on a weekly basis.
I suppose saying better late than never is a bit of a knife in the back but... better late than never. PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait a little bit longer, though, which feels like a kick that really should have never happened.
