MTV Games and MTV2 Trot Rock Band Around the Globe

MTV Games and Harmonix's Rock Band sure does get around. First, it was in living rooms all across the globe and now it's hitting the road with Flyleaf and Seether. It went from innocent to floozy in now time flat.
MTV Games and MTV2 are co-sponsoring the Flyleaf and Seether co-headlining tour set to kick off in Denver, Colorado on April 8th. Wait, that's today! I probably don't need to say anything about Seether, since we know all we need to know about them, but Flyleaf might be a new one you've heard nothing about. Right now their ballad, “All Around Me” is climbing up the Top 40 charts and... you know what? You want to know why Rock Band is there. Fine.
“Sponsoring the Seether and Flyleaf tour is another way for us to give Rock Band fans the opportunity to connect with the bands they love and provide a stage for them to live out their rock fantasies,” said Paul DeGooyer, SVP DVD, Gaming and Audio, MTV. “By supporting this tour, it allows us to expose great young talent like Flyleaf, who are a true Rock Band success story. Beginning today, Tuesday, April 8th, and running through Wednesday, May 21st, fans that attend the Seether and Flyleaf tour will get a chance to play against members of the bands. Local competitions will be held at each tour stop and a few lucky contestants will win some Rock Band for their problem, create a MTV2 playlist and co-host “Saturday Rock the Deuce” on MTV2 with Seether and Flyleaf. There's also tour diaries and video clips galore at www.mtv2.com.
