Emmanuelle Vaugier Carbon Copied

It may not be all that well known here at TotalPlayStation, since we only inject a reference into one out of every four stories, but we rather fancy an attractive lady. It makes us talk like a bunch of Americans trying to sound British. Drunk Americans, sorry, trying to sound... well, Brits are most likely drunk by now anyway, right? So that's a bit redundant. But the hotness, it doeth get to us, and for a couple of years now, EA has made the masterful leap of logic that hot girls in a game about tuned cars sells games. Research scientists everywhere are still trying to figure out where they could have gleaned such info.

Luckily, it means our particular affection (and, erm, affliction) can continue unabated, just like we likes it. With the release of a new Need for Speed game (this time it's Need for Speed Carbon), we get us a new whoa-man star to guide us through our meteoric rise from the mean streets to the King of the Mean Streets. For NFS Most Wanted, it was the lovely Josie Moran, but this time it's the even hotter Emmanuelle Vaugier.

"Being able to work in a videogame for the first time and working with the Need For Speed Carbon team at EA has been a great experience for me. This is a game that evolves the racing genre, and I'm thrilled to be a part of it", Vaugier mused, clearly something of an expert on racing games and the genre as a whole. "Playing the role of Nikki allows me to take a completely fresh approach to acting and push the boundaries of the creative process."

The Vancouver-born brunette bombshell sat in with Hollywood assistant director/first assistant director/second assistant director Dave Footman (who directed the cutscenes in Most Wanted too) and shot her green screen performances, which will be digitized and turned into the familiar stylized stills that the series has used for the past couple games. Should you need to see her in motion, you might want to take a peek at some of the TV shows she seems to pop up on like Two and a Half Men, One Tree Hill or our personal favorite, her turn as Lex Luthor's ultra-hot wife in Smallville).

Now, we just have to wait... and wait.... and wait... Carbon comes to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable this November. Mmmmm... Next-gen Need for Speed. Double-Mmmm, Ms. "Vour-zhey" in HD... We'll have more as it comes in.
