PSN Store Update #2342
Something more than just trailers!
Published: June 21, 2007
Every time you see us report a PSN Store Update, they're mostly trailer updates. Oh, here's a game trailer! Oh, here's a movie trailer! Oh here's a trailer of a trailer’s trailer! Eh you get the gist of it. It might also seem like you'll fill your 60GB hard drive with trailers before content comes out. Well this update is great as it contains just one movie trailer: The Heartbreak Kid. So what about the rest of the juicy giblets that fill in the usual 3 other trailer spots?
Okay, technically this isn’t exactly new content, but hey, it isn’t a trailer either. Hot Shots Golf 2 and CoolBoarders are now available for PS3 retro roundup hour. These puppies will now show you that the original PlayStation is still a force to be reckoned with... or will at least entertain you until Hot Shots Golf 5 comes out. Well let's get down to the meat of the update... and the meat isn’t too bad.
Game content updates are stuff that we expect to see in the PSN Store. It's kinda like when you buy a steak and it tastes good for awhile until you try it with A1. Well the steak is MotorStorm and we are going to slather it with a little thing SCEA calls Time Attack Mode. Now you can race on those dusty next-gen tracks and instead of just trying to learn the course better, actually improve on lap times. You can even create ghost cars now to help drive that competitive spirit. It's a video game completist’s wet dream. They even have a global leader boards so you can punk that foo’ in New York that you never knew existed.
So put down those stopwatches... because they're built in now. Mmmm, technology.
