There's nothing worse than having to sit on a secret without knowing when you'd finally get to tell someone (or, uh accidentally tell them, sorry SCEE folks), but now the cat's finally out of the bag. One of the biggest sequels to hit the PS3 this year (and there's a surprising number of 'em for a system that's only been out for a little over a year) has finally had a chance to slip a sexy, mud-covered leg out from behind the curtain. Sure, it's just a tease of what's to come, but at least it comes with some concrete details.

Yes, kids MotorStorm 2 is coming in just a few months (near the end of the year, though Sony hasn't locked down a definite date yet), and though we'll have to wait until May to bring back official eyes-on reports of how the actual game looks and plays, we can at least reveal the core details, namely 4-player split screen local play, 16-player online races, 16 new tracks all around a brand new Pacific island that serves as the new home of the MotorStorm race/rave and perhaps most interestingly, a new monster truck vehicle type joins the jamboree.
