Now that the dust has settled and Midway has started actually showing off Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, we're ready to actually stifle our initial guffaws and disbelieving chuckles long enough to actually hope that Mortal Kombat may be seeing a renaissance. If nothing else, the pairing of classic characters from DC Comics' stable of iconic superheroes and villains is rife with new material to give the aging MK franchise some fresh new blood, but we're hoping there's actually fun new fighting game tucked in between all those geek-out mash-ups too.
